Shoftim and Orchos Chaim

This week’s shiur included a beautiful piece from the Mei Hashiloach! After that piece, the Rebbe gave over the beginning of the hakdama to the Baal Techeiles’ sefer Orchos Chaim and we hope to have more installments this month. This amazing sefer is learned by Radzyners during Elul and is his peirush on the tzava’a (will) of Rebbe Eliezer ben Horkenus. This peirush was written while the Rebbe was imprisoned briefly and without benefit of seforim. The maarei mekomos cited are astonishing even with access to seforim! In Radzyn, this Rebbe is called the Baal Orchos Chaim, while to much of the world he is the Baal Techeiles – and to some lomdim as the Baal Sedrei Taharos.
